Services were held for George H. Bingaman, 88, formerly of Butter Lane, Exeter Township and Berkshire Center, Exeter Township, where he had been a resident since April. His wife, Leona C. (Kercher) Bingaman, died in 2000. Born in Stony Creek, he had been employed as a delivery driver by Freihofer's Bakery, Reading, and later as a maintenance engineer for the Berks County Intermediate Unit. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Stony Creek. Bingaman was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. Surviving are two daughters, Linda J., Mohnton, and Kathleen A., West Reading. Other survivors include a sister. Private burial was in Spies Zion Cemetery, Alsace Township. The Lutz Funeral Home Inc., Mount Penn, handled the arrangements.1
